Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber is a non-profit membership organization of local businesses.
The Chamber is instrumental in advancing the economic climate for
business and in sponsoring community programs and events that contribute

Franzosenbusch
Heritage Society
The Franzosenbusch Heritage Society has a membership of volunteers
living in and around the Westchester area. They are developing,
along with Save the Prairie Society and Midwest SOARRING Foundation,
a nature center and historical museum at the north end of Wolf Road
Prairie. Their purpose is to work with others to preserve and interpret
the human and natural history of the greater Proviso Township area.

Society
The Save the Prairie Society is dedicated to preserving and restoring
native landscapes. They sponsor a variety of programs throughout
the year to educate the public and members are engaged in restoration
and conservation efforts to protect and safeguard the natural prairies.
University of Illinois
Extension Service
An outreach program of the University serving the educational needs
of urban, suburban and rural areas. Their programs focus on environmental
issues, neighborhood revitalization, water quality, health issues,
public safety, youth development, school reform, or economic growth
and jobs.

Gardens
- Gardening club founded in 2002 by a group of local gardeners
- Dedicated to the beautification of the village of Westchester
- Sponsors the design and care of the Library’s courtyard
garden, as well as decorative plantings in the landscaping
- Meets monthly in member homes/gardens
- No membership fees
Westchester Community Image Council, Inc.
The Westchester Community Image Council is a group of volunteers who are dedicated to enhancing the look of our village.
Westchester Lions Club
Local chapter of Lions Clubs International, involved in a variety of projects benefiting the community, including their ongoing work to end preventable blindness.
