How You Can "Ask a Librarian"

We are ready to help you find the information, book or other material you need. Here are the convenient ways you can reach us:

By Email.
Send your questions to: askus@westchesterpl.org
and one of our librarians will respond to you within 24 hours (providing the Library is scheduled to be open the next day).

Tip: If you would like us to order material from another library for you, include your your name and the last six digits of your library card number. A phone number is also helpful. (Available for Westchester cardholders only.)

By Phone: 708-562-3573
Just ask for a reference librarian the next time you call the Library. A librarian is always on duty when the Library is open.
On Your Next Visit.
We love the opportunity to meet with you in person to discuss your information needs.

Parental Rights & Responsibilities
The Library Board’s Intellectual Freedom Policy, in part, reads “Parents or legal guardians have the right and the responsibility to restrict the access of their children…to library resources. Parents or legal guardians, who do not want their children to have access to certain library services, materials, or facilities, should so advise their children. Librarians cannot assume the role of parents or the function of parental authority in the private relationship between parent and child”.
