Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization dedicated
to supporting the Library’s efforts to provide quality library
service to the residents of Westchester. The Friends’ activities
include:
- volunteer assistance for library programs
- delivery of books to homebound
patrons
- sponsorship of special children’s programs and events
- fundraisers for purchasing Library equipment and materials
- annual book sales
- holiday decorations (Poinsettia plants in Library)
- represent Library at Westchester Fest

Used book sales
Each spring, the Friends organize a used book sale. The sale is
held in the Library's Community Room and offers a wide selection
of literature and non-fiction books (hardbacks and paperbacks),
music CDs, and films on VHS and DVD. Donations
are accepted year-round. One of the benefits extended to the membership
is admission to the members-only opening of the annual book sale.
Throughout the year, the Friends sponsor a perpetual book sale rack
locatedin the Library.
Annual Friends membership dues:
- Individual $ 5.00
- Family $ 10.00
- Supporting $ 15.00
- Business $ 25.00
- Lifetime $100.00
